The Plague
by Albert Camus

Workshops and experimental performance directed by Luca Romani

Removing us yet reflecting us, this classic tale by Albert Camus is pertinent as ever given our recent covid experience. The Plague tells the story of a town unexpectedly struck by epidemic and plunged into lockdown.

Roman Flowers Theatre Company invited MAP Festival artists to join two workshops inspired by Albert Camus 'The Plague'. The workshops explored the opening scenes of the book and resulted in a performance outcome on the festivals final days.

This work was performed at Bangunan Melaka as part of Melaka Art and Performance Festival, August 2022.

Thank you to our generous artists:
